Founder & CEO
J.Y. founded Aeight Group with the goal of being the best partner for small businesses looking to transition ownership for the next leg of growth. Prior to founding Aeight, J.Y. spent 6 years at Alpha Wave Global, a global investment manager with $19 billion of assets under management. At Alpha Wave, J.Y. led investments in software, consumer, and technology-enabled companies, and learned how technology and incentive alignment could be used to drive exceptional outcomes. Prior to Alpha Wave, J.Y. spent 2 years at Lazard working on complex mergers and acquisitions. J.Y. graduated from the University of Virginia with a double major in Commerce (Distinction) and Economics. J.Y. was awarded the Accenture Scholarship and inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma at the University of Virginia.
